Hidden within a sea of proteas, Kaya Cabin offers a peaceful escape amongst rugged mountains, rolling vineyards and complete privacy in one of the Cape Winelands’ most untouched landscapes.
Set on Mountain View Vineyards, a boutique organic wine farm run by Willem and Marlise Bosman, the cabin sits beneath a spectacular mountain amphitheatre with views of some of the valley’s most striking rock formations. The farm produces a small selection of handcrafted wines each year. Just a short walk away, ancient San Bushman rock art is tucked into the cliffs, adding another layer of history to this remarkable setting.
Completely off-grid and solar-powered, Kaya has been thoughtfully designed to connect you with nature. Open the glass doors and step onto the deck to take in the mountain views, or end the day in your private hot tub beneath a sky full of stars.

Guests are invited to check in any time after 2 pm by following our simple check-in process.
If you’re traveling at night, please drive cautiously and watch out for resident springhares, buck and porcupines.
Each stay includes a complimentary wood allocation. If you plan to enjoy extended evenings by the starlit fire, we recommend bringing extra wood. Additional wood is available for purchase on-site, and payments can be made via SnapScan. Your stay also includes a bundle of fire essentials: two 10kg bags of firewood and firelighters.
